Guidelines to Authors
Types of Articles
Types of articles for publication include:
- Original articles
- Short reports (brief technical notes and preliminary communications, not exceeding 750 words)
- Reviews (normally by invitation)
- Case reports
- Letters to the editor (arising from papers previously published in the journal, less than 400 words)
Preparation of Manuscripts
General Requirements
- Download Manuscript Template
- The manuscript should be typed according to the manuscript template.
Submission of Manuscripts
Please submit manuscripts and related documents through this journal website only.
The corresponding author should also submit a cover letter stating that:
- All authors contributed significantly to the work reported in the manuscript.
- All authors have declared any conflicts of interest.
- The manuscript has not been published previously or is currently submitted elsewhere for publication.
Please email a copy of the cover letter, signed on behalf of all authors, together with the manuscript.

Articles are accepted for publication on the understanding that, in consideration of acceptance, the entire copyright shall pass to the Malaysian Journal of Clinical Biochemistry.
