Editor's Note

It is with immense pride and pleasure that we present to you the inaugural issue of the Malaysian Journal of Clinical Biochemistry (MJCB), Volume 1, Issue 1 Supplement (2024). This marks a significant milestone for the Malaysian Association of Clinical Biochemists (MACB) as we launch a dedicated platform for sharing high-quality research and advancements in the field of clinical biochemistry and laboratory medicine.

The establishment of MJCB is a testament to our commitment to promoting scientific knowledge and fostering professional growth within our community. Our journal aims to serve as a cornerstone for researchers, clinicians, and laboratory professionals, providing a space for the dissemination of original research, reviews, case studies, and insights into the latest developments in clinical biochemistry.

This inaugural issue is particularly special as it also features a collection of abstracts from the 33rd MACB Conference, showcasing the vibrant research culture within our association. We are pleased to include 5 oral presentation abstracts and 38 poster presentation abstracts that highlight the diverse and innovative research being conducted by our members.

The oral presentations cover a range of topics, reflecting the breadth and depth of clinical biochemistry. From cutting-edge diagnostic techniques to advancements in biochemical markers, these presentations underscore the dynamic nature of our field and its critical role in improving patient care.

The poster presentations further enrich this issue, offering a glimpse into the ongoing research projects and scientific inquiries that drive our profession forward. These abstracts represent the hard work and dedication of our members, who strive to enhance our understanding of biochemical processes and their clinical applications.
